Dr. Gary Bernstein, PHD

My son saw Dr Bernstein years ago on Alberta Dr., when my son was 17. He has since provided my son with his therapy notes, so Bernstein knows who I am referring to. somehow they reconnected overBernstein was dismissive and rude to me. He made me feel like I was a bad guy for asking him questions....asking how my son was doing. I was a mother suffering, trying to get help however I could for my son. No compassion. He did not help our family situation, nor did he help my son. If he would have actually paid any attention, he may have picked up on his schizophrenia prodrome symptoms . I believe this provider is unsympathetic to families and actually worsened my son's condition. the phone a few years ago. I am writing this in hopes that Dr Bernstein reads this , as I cannot describe how he catered to my son's personality in a way that was unhelpful. It turns out that my son is schizophrenic and was going through prodrome when Bernstein first started seeing him.

Did not know what to expect. Dr. Bernstein managed to put me at eas within 30 minutes with his perceptive understanding of my issues. It promises to be a very good relationship. I m actually looking forward to our next meeting.
