She barely spent any time with me. I was a new patient. She didn't introduce herself, was confused about which patient she was seeing and completely misdiagnosed my very simple problem. She prescribed multiple medications for problem I never had, one of which was a special order that she sent to the pharmacy. I did not pick up any of the meds she prescribed because I knew they were the wrong treatment. I am a medical practitioner so I know what I'm talking about. She sat across the room from me and NEVER examined me, yet she included a full exam in her office note that she just copied and pasted from my previous doctor's notes. She is a disgrace to the medical field.

Gladys is GREAT!!
My 83-yr old mom & I see Gladys regular. She is knowledgeable, thorough & kind, reviewing all medications & answering all of our questions. She even calls you at home to report your Lab Results to you personally. This is someone who is professional as well as dedicated, thorough as well as thoughtful.

Poor interaction with geriatric patients
Clearly Gladys is someone that needs to make others feel small to make herself feel big. A woman that was probably picked in as a teenager, and needs to treat others poorly to make herself feel better about herself. Shame on her for talking down to patients. Be better.

Doesn't listen and has no compassion
I had a really bad experience with her today. She contacted me nearly 30 minutes late for our telehealth appointment (telling her assistant she'd already tried to reach me, which she had NOT done), barely listened to what I said, and told me I still had to do jury duty next week even if my COVID test comes back negative (I should get the results today or tomorrow) because I "can wear a mask". She did not listen when I said I feel terrible, I'm barely sleeping. I am coughing up yellow mucus, and the entire right side of my face is clogged and hurts. All she did was tell me to take my allergy medicine. What the heck? This isn't allergies. I already explained my husband is getting over this virus, and my son has it as well. Perhaps she just thinks I'm trying to get out of jury duty. Not at ALL! It's my civic responsibility and I take these things very seriously. But it's only one business day away. If I'm still feeling this gross on Monday, how am I supposed to be helpful to anyone?

She does not even deserve 1 star. Dr Akanoh did not introduce herself and it was my first visit. She was more concerned about shots then the specific reason I was there. She put the wrong information on my profile after I specifically told her when I had my heart attack, she put in the wrong date. She kept pressing on my stomach and asking for pain when I specifically told her I was having no stomach pain at all. She told me told me in a harsh tone, “go to the front office they will tell you what to do.” She did not give me any information.

She was very thorough and attentive during my visit. It made me feel comfortable that she asked me many questions about the nature of my symptoms. Would recommend her to anyone.
