He is the best!
He listens to your concerns and issues. He is knowledgeable on UC. He respects you, and you never feel rushed. He doesn’t push other expensive drugs when you are doing fine on the first steps of UC drug treatment. He cares about you and wants you to contact him if you are having problems and not to wait. He also has common sense. He realizes FB support groups can be a good source for support and info. He has good suggestions on things to try, and always checks you out before you leave, heart, lungs, abdomen etc.

I would definitely recommend Dr. Barton to anyone.
I have not seen him lately, but I used to see him a lot. Every time I saw him, he was always like family. Down to earth. He always listens and passionately works out a plan for your problem. I had a lot of confidence in him.

Most Amazing PA
I saw him for years before I moved and he has the most amazing personality! So kind and thoughtful! Really tries to get to the problem at hand and find solutions to help. I wish that he could‘be been my doctor for everything!!!

Liver Transplant
Good morning Dr. Barton it's been a week since my new liver Transplant at Duke Medical. I know I still have a road ahead of me for recovery. But I want to personally say thank you for your Medical care. Support and my last day I got to talk with you was at the hospital. And you made time out of your life and your busy schedule. To show me the real man you was and are. I can never repay you for that day but it was the foundation that we needed. Once again a Thanks and God bless you and your family. I will remain at Duke for a month or so. But they already talking about letting me leave and stay at the apartment near the hospital. (If Kidneys numbers keep improving) They are still recovering... I will recommend you for the rest of my life. Thanks again, Ricky E Moser

I had a great visit with him today. He truly listened to my concerns and put together a plan to figure out the source of my problem. He answered all my questions and I didn’t feel rushed at all during the visit. I would definitely see him again!
