Lied about pricing, no accountability from staff
First trip there, staff told me I would pay $35 to visit for inflamed eye. Bill came later in the mail for $152.00, nearly five times the amount. My insurance covered 6% or $9.50 of the entire office visit, a flat rate of $162.00 for a first time visitor. I would have been fine with that if they'd simply stated up front "Our office charge is $162.00, however your insurance may pay a portion of this for you." Upon making a call to the office, I was met with Sherylin, the billing receptionist, and her attitude kin to a child who's been caught in a lie and desperately trying to seek a way to blame others and take no accountability. Pretending that the charge comes from the insurance company, not their own pricing, and overall being agitated over the phone and trying to slither out from the pressure of taking responsibility of lying to me when I came for my visit. Just solidifies why younger men (I'm 35) refuse to see a doctor in this healthcare world, when the visit ends with a $150

×Post a ResponseAre you Dr. Johnson?
Dr Johnson is amazing, he's thorough, engaged in your needs, and a true pleasure to partner with. I've been through some traumatic brain surgeries with some significant impacts to my vision. Dr Johnson has been there for me every step of the way offering great support and insights. I feel like I've received more information and help from Dr Johnson than I did from the specialists in the neurological center. My family and I have been receiving his care for many years and couldn't be more satisfied.
