Dr. Gregory Reising, PHD

My husband and I went through a long and expensive period of counseling with Dr. Reising. He is a pleasant person who seems to care. He really likes serving tea. However, he absolutely downplayed the importance of my concerns about my husband’s chronic lying which caused tremendous problems. The most evident and objective were the financial problems. Obviously, the ripple effects of chronic lying could be identified in all aspects of our life. Dr. Reising preferred to focus on my reaction to discovering a huge web of lies that overwhelmed my life. My husband used this to further verbally abuse me, alleging that everything was my fault. Based on my experience, I wondered if Dr. Reising was extremely sexist; I couldn’t think of any other reason that he would counsel as he did. In short, it was a disaster. But perhaps it was the rock-bottom I needed to get out of my marriage. But I don’t think that was his goal.
