I thought she was just great! She listened, was super friendly, and really helped. She's a very intelligent lady who knows what she's talking about. I'm confused by earlier reviews of her, I'm not sure if the comments below are directed towards the correct person. She helped my partner and I get over a huge hump, and we are forever grateful for her time and dedication to us. She really cared.

This was genuinely the best therapist I have ever had. She’s thoughtful, she helps me stay accountable, and she understands and relates to my own feelings. She is incredibly empathetic and kind, but she won’t BS you. She will call you out if you are willing to receive that. It’s a shame to hear the way that other folx have spoken about her. She is an amazing person and therapist, and I’m so grateful. That said, other peoples experiences are absolutely valid — but I’m concerned about her being characterized in this way regarding meds. She doesn’t prescribe any meds, nor does she work with docs who do. If you discuss meds with her, she will absolutely say that she can’t make those recommendations at all. Unfortunately, the inaccuracies in that review are such that I’m not sure I buy what is left. Others may have had a tough experience, but some of the info is absolutely false here. For me, I wouldn’t trade her counsel for anything. I’m alive today because of it.

She really only knows about certain topics - anything else, and she won't be able to help you. She kept trying to relate my life to her life and it felt like I was talking to a random person at a party rather than a mental health professional. She repeats the same "tips" over and over again, says she'll research something you're dealing with and never does, and gives way too much detail about her personal life. She also will argue with you about your opinions/beliefs and the way she talked about trans people was problematic at best. That was a HUGE red flag. Thankfully I'm not new to therapy and knew that she wasn't going to be helpful based on previous experiences I'd had with other therapists.

Victim blaming, and pulling diagnoses out of nowhere. She got caught up in relating me to herself, trying to use the same solutions. I left most sessions sobbing, because of things she said to me.

She has a condescending vibe about her whenever she is forced to come into contact with someone whom she thinks who makes less money or has less education than she does. I have never had to endure such an insufferably privileged little white feminist in my life, which is especially tragic, since she advertises in great detail how she specializes in treating marginalized groups. And there’s a number of questions about whether she’s dealing in black market controlled drugs; many of my prescriptions written by or in conjunction with her have been outright rejected by several pharmacists. Do not see this woman. You will need to hire a better therapist just to get over the issues she will give you.
