Dropped me for correcting her one too many times during a time a long bad happened. Regularly vented about how awful schizophrenia is (I do not have schizophrenia, she confirmed she knew this), when i called her out on this she simply said it's life ruining FOR THEM and a life sentence. Confirming again, it had nothing to do with me. If you have schizophrenia I advise seeing someone else, because apparently she thinks you're doomed to a life of suffering. Apparently the final straw was me telling her the history of aspergers (which is now autistic spectrum disorder, fyi). Considering reporting to her supervisors. I was left without support because she couldn't stand being corrected or expecting me to listen to get vents when she's my therapist and not the other way around. I'm sure she'd great for some, but I won't let that stop me from being honest about my experience. I was very excited to start therapy and was willing to give her multiple chances, but ultimately she dropped me and I can't help but think it was, due to the timing and events, she couldn't stand being factually corrected on something she personally felt strongly about. Pulled the "well, in my experience as a clinician" card as if that overrides all factual information. She offered a closing session. I have no interest in speaking to her again.

Someone who can help you see things clearly about yourself and those around you, offering insightful perspective that guide in choosing the path best for you. An attentive listener with the ability to have those tough conversations, mentoring as you become the best version of yourself.
