Dr. Jack Houk, PHD

Dr. Houk is a great psychologist and he treats his patients with the utmost respect and dignity. Dr. Houk has always exhibited empathy, understanding, and levels of compassion that are not as prevalent among many therapists. Dr. Houk will work with his patients to ensure that insurance issues do not prevent them from receiving quality treatment! Thank you, Dr. Houk.

Houk showed little interest in what I tried to convey and dismissed outright the findings of other psychologists I had met with. I spoke for all of ten or fifteen in the session. At the beginning of the next session he made several statements that were baseless, assumptive, and far removed from what those who are respected in the field have said. He seemed to have me pegged for other patients he'd spoken with, rather than a separate individual so anything I said just related back to their issues. Would not recommend.

After seeing him for a few months I found Dr Houk to be repetitive with family stories, inattentive and at one point when explaining what I tried to convey to a family member he actually threw his arms up in disbelief! No, this was not helpful and I kept losing trust in him. Well that sealed it, I had one more session and left for good.

Dr. Houk is very good and attentive to patients needs

Excellent caring professional with outstanding insight and experience. Forthright. Comes to the point.. I feel he is most effective when patient's aim is obtaining a solution to a problem.
