I would not recommend Jim Basham as a counselor. Session after session my wife and I would banter back and forth while Jim had limited suggestions, tips, drills, guidance, advice, etc. At the last session, I told him I thought I would feel better after this was over. His exact quote was "If you want to feel good, get a massage."

Jim Basham is truly an angel, if I've ever met one. In a horrible time in my life, when I was struggling with anxiety and depression, Jim provided me with immense support and wisdom, and honestly, he saved my life. Jim's combination of using biblical scripture and his great knowledge of psychology and counseling was very impactful to me. Jim really does care about all of his patients on a very personal level and it's like talking to a best friend with him. I would highly recommend him to anyone.
