I found James through my Employee Assistance Program. I was a little wary about whether anyone would be able to solve any of my mental health challenges with the 3 sessions covered by my EAP, but was pleasantly surprised by his knack for listening and quickly understanding the root causes of the problems I am facing, and providing actionable, pragmatic solutions to make changes in my life (even with two small children and a demanding job on my plate) - in every session. Moreover, James is a really NICE guy! And he's extremely intelligent. He's the kind of person I would enjoy just catching up with over a coffee and sharing stories with and learning from. Easy going, smart, helpful. I will definitely see him again when I need a tune-up.

I really like James. However he is afraid to give a diagnoses. If you're looking for a diagnoses you need to go elsewhere. He seems to think it's better to just kind of ignore personality disorders rather than help us deal with them. I don't know what's up with that. Seems like it should be an important part of his practice, so I was disappointed overall.
