Dr. Jane Tausig, PHD

I sought help after experiencing a trauma, and unfortunately I don't feel as though the provider validated the seriousness of the situation. I felt as though I was being rushed through the healing process. The provider seemed to make assumptions about me, which she then used to fervently push a treatment plan that I found to be bizarre and irrelevant. At times I was pressured to talk about topics of the provider's choosing, instead of being able to discuss what was troubling me in the moment. I also was perplexed on a few occasions when I was discouraged from taking actions that would be almost universally seen as being helpful to a traumatized person. I do think that she wanted to help in her own way, but her staunch methods were not a good fit for me. At times, she did make me feel a little better, and from reading other reviews it's clear that she is able to help some people. As with many situations in life, what works for one person does not always work for another.

Jane is very helpful and easy to talk to.

I have worked with therapists and psychiatrists for close to 50 years and Dr Tausig is one of the best. She is highly trained and caring. I had sought her for her experience working with trauma and greatly benefitted from her skill and knowledge.
