Janet Berk is phoning it in. Her office is beautiful and in a gorgeous building, but that's about the only good thing. You have to awkwardly take your shoes off in the hallways before entering. She does not keep a record of appointments which causes a lot of confusion. On two separate occasions, my session overlapped with a previous or subsequent client, which is a huge confidentiality blunder. Most egregious, she does not remember anything. To me, this indicates a lack of care and a lack of treatment plan. She takes no notes and asks questions seemingly out of the blue in sessions (indicating her lack of engagement). When confronted with her lack of interest, she began to gaslight and blame me for missing sessions when it was due to the holidays. All in all, others may have/have had more pleasant experiences with Ms. Berk, but she was extremely unprofessional and traumatic to deal with. The only thing that she remembers is your copay.
