Janet Voss

After 40 years of our marriage journey, we are retired and found ourselves struggling and having the same circular arguments over and over. With a couple more decade of life ahead of us, we decided we needed some assistance in achieving a more calm and fulfilling marriage. Janet was the perfect fit for us. It has been six months now and we are finding ourselves with less conflict and definitely more connection. She hears us and redirects us when we get lost in our typical dance. We do not want to the dance but rather find a new dance that keeps us connected rather than apart. With Janets calm, careful guidance we are finding our way.

After attending marriage counselling with her for several months, our relationship instead of improving, actually got significantly worse. I suppose it's not surprising, since at one point, she actually said to me something like "your husband doesn't drink, beat you, or gamble, so what are you complaining about". I was too stunned to say anything back.

Mean, blunt and insensitive. "My way or the highway" kind of thinking and advice giving during sessions.
