A Unique Approach for Sensitive Souls
I have worked with Jean closely for about 4 years. As a fellow yoga teacher and mental health provider, I appreciate her unique approach to therapy. I have been exposed to quite a few therapists in the past (personally and professionally) and none approach therapy as she does. Her therapy with you may include movement, spiritual exploration, sound healing, energy work and yes, talk therapy. As a sensitive soul herself, she will make sure you are comfortable with her suggested modality before proceeding. She understands that in order for healing to take place, we must trust in and feel at ease with our therapist. Her calm energy puts me at ease as soon as we meet. If you like someone who thinks out of the box, is constantly learning, and 'walks the walk', reach out. Your only regret may be that you wish you'd found her sooner. That is mine!

Amazing therapist in the Woodlands
Jean Dixon was a fabulous find for me. She offers so many different non-traditional avenues to therapy. We've done yoga, sacred pilates, empowerment groups, Reiki healing and talk therapy. She facilitates all of these with such care and kindness. One of my favorite things is how she meets me where I'm at without pushing and gently guides me to discover things about myself and my decisions. I highly recommend Jean as a therapist especially for neurodivergent people like me.

Outstanding Therapist
I have been seeing Jean on and off for a number of years. When I first began treatment I was quite depressed. I experienced a lessening of symptoms relatively quickly. What followed has been an on and off exploration of my life, ways to ease difficulties with transitions, and better coping/life satisfaction. I have never found her to be anything other than kind and compassionate, and quite intuitive and empathic. I feel very grateful our paths crossed.

I am a survivor of severe trauma that sought Ms Dixon’s help. I was dealing with the effects of narcissistic abuse, and childhood sexual, emotional, physical, and religious abuse. I self harmed. She made light of these issues. She invalidated and retraumatized me. I will never forgive her.

I wasn't afforded a visit. After some back and forth emails, Jean said she could fit me into her schedule. She emailed information information about dates, times, fees, among other things. I emailed back to get clarification about a few things, and asked what I thought were benign questions. I quickly received a reply and was abruptly told to find another therapist. Jean's website states that she specializes in working with introverts, empaths, and highly sensitive people. My brief exchange with her was the opposite of how she presents herself on her website. Her email was hurtful and unprofessional.
