SO helpful, even though she didn’t have to be
First, let me just say I am not a client but the experience I had with this practice (and Jena specifically) was incredible! I reached out looking for a therapist through text expecting to get a bot. Instead Jena kindly walked me through finding the best fit for me WITH immediate availability at ANOTHER PRACTICE because she didn’t have availability. For someone that busy to spend the time offering a good referral when she could have just not responded at all speaks volumes. This practice is the classiest and most authentic place I have come across in years. I’m happy with the referral but I would definitely consider anyone at this practice when they have availability. I felt cared for without even walking in the door.

Hard to get in with for a reason!
I stayed on a waitlist for almost 6 weeks because I wanted to work with Jena. To say it was worth it would be an understatement. What I was doing wasn't working and it took therapy to help me take accountability for my actions. It wasn't working because I was resentful that I was never taught how to manage my life. I was keeping myself from healing because I was mad at the people who hurt me. Jena lovingly helped me see that and things have been so different for me since.

She saved our marriage! My wife and I have been blown away by the work Jena has done with us. Because she understands addiction and recovery (for family members too), I felt like she was able to understand the unique challenges of our relationship. She helped my wife understand what I was going through and helped me understand what my wife (who has lived with my drinking and chaos for a few years now) felt too. Because we are both engaged in our own recovery, the work we did with Jena was the nail in the coffin of a really bad chapter we wanted to close. If you're considering working with her, do it!

As a family member of someone who is struggling with their addiction, Jena has been able to provide me with support and guidance. Al-anon is helpful, but I needed to be able to share things with someone who could help me in a different way. My own history living in an addicted family has really impacted my reaction to this situation. She is warm and empathetic, but also pushes me just enough when I need to be pushed.

Jena is so down to earth. I’ve never felt awkward or uncomfortable talking to her, even when I was telling her things that were shameful or embarrassing. Every time I talk to her (it’s been virtual since COVID), it feels like I’m talking to a friend (one who actually has good insight and advice). If I had to sum her up in one word: genuine. You know what you are getting with her and she’s super smart and informed! I’ve been to other therapists who just sort of nod and stare at you. I feel like she is “in it” with me and knows how to get things out of me. I can’t say enough positive things.
