I took my 15 year old son to our family doctor at Brookwood Family Practice on a Friday afternoon for a suspected sinus infection. Sadly, this clinic has been insane since Covid, and they won’t treat sick patients in person for any reason. I suspected a possible sinus infection, and hoped to get meds for the weekend in case he got worse and they were needed. Jennifer wouldn’t treat him in person, only would give a telemedicine appointment. Only wanted to test him for sure, covid, and flu when I explained he didn’t have fever and wasn’t sick enough and didn’t have symptoms for such testing. Flat out refused to give us antibiotics or even consider that he had a sinus infection. I left the clinic (where we’ve been seen for 16 years) and went to an urgent care pediatric clinic where they engaged in evidence based medicine, saw him IN PERSON, and gave him meds for a suspected sinus infection. Done with this clinic. And I refused to pay for the appointment with Jennifer.
