Jill Gagne, FNP

I have been a patient of Jill Gagne for a few years now. I find her to be very knowledgeable and very nice. People need to understand we are adults. It's not her job to coddle us or tuck us in at night. The world of Cpap is not difficult in any way, shape or form. It's a machine that blows air into your face. I've been using Cpap machines well over 20 years. I for one am glad there is an option for people like me that have a hard time breathing while laying down and sleeping. Just use your machine if you want results. In this world, everyone always has someone to blame but themselves. It's the fault of the police or the teachers or the health care people right? Wrong! We need to help ourselves. Don't try to hit the minimum requirements, do it!! You are the one who sought help. They have given you the tools, now be strong and do your part. End of rant. Carry on.

Hateful and arrogant. I saw this physician because my usual doc wasn't available. It was my first appointment after starting cpap therapy for the first time. Having multiple chronic issues including asthma, a hectic work schedule, and not a lot of help at home, I struggled to make CPAP compliance but succeeded. Upon seeing Jill, I was made to feel awful about meeting only the minimum criteria and told I should just give my machine back, even though it was helping. She also claimed because I was struggling it meant that I didn't have sleep apnea. I reminded her that I had concrete evidence from my sleep study, which she brushed off. This provider clearly has no understanding of sleep apnea or how difficult cpap therapy is. Rather than help her patients solve problems and get better, she would prefer to belittle them to elevate herself for the benefit of insurers. 50% of cpap users stop do to its difficulty already; an ignorant and insensitive provider should not contribute to that.
