My mother went in to be treated for the flu, which is very bad this year, and Jill refused to offer any medical aide or relief. Instead she sent her away and told her to go to the ER... for the flu... My main issue with this is if Jill truly believed that my mother was in an emergency medical situation, she should have called 911 herself and had my mom transported to the hospital. Since she did not do this, and told my mom to take herself to the ER, she knows just as well as I do that going to the Emergency Room for the flu was not medically necessary. I should also mention that my mom has a history of contracting pneumonia when she gets sick. She decided to reschedule her appointment with a doctor instead of a nurse practitioner, and although his treatment was below subpar, he was able to get her a chest x-ray and prescribe her treatment for the pneumonia she indeed has. Jill was more than capable of providing the same treatment, but did not do so for whatever reasoning she made up. My belief is that Jill did not want to get the nasty flu going around, and if that's the case she should not be working in the medical field. I have filed a formal complaint with the Washington State Board of Nursing because of Jill Lawton's serious negligence, and suggest that if she is your nurse practitioner, you request to see someone who actually cares enough to help you.

I was surpised to see the one star rating because my experience with Jill was quite the opposite. She was friendly, professional, and demonstrated deep knowledge and experience. This was a virtual visit so some of the questions below do not apply.

She seems a bit snarky, not overly compassionate, and rather dismissive as well. Over simplified my health problems without even looking into it too much. Not sure why she's even in the healthcare field with this kind of attitude or personality, never goinb back to see her again.
