Dr. Jill McAdams, OD

She may be a fine doctor but she lacks empathy. I have real concerns about my vision but she just brushed them aside. I left the office feeling unsettled and upset.

I saw Dr. McAdams yesterday. She was her USUAL friendly self and I have NO complaints at all. She answered a few questions I had and we had a nice discussion. I am distressed to see several poor ratings for her and I chalk them up to “the public” being “the public.” People these days are so quick to tear someone down. The doctor they describe in the “1-star” reviews is NOT the doctor I know. Remember, it is far easier to complain than to compliment and I’d guess there are many very satisfied patients of this doctor then the small number of reviews given! I hope they review her!

Very poor bedside manner—seemed annoyed by questions-especially any questions which required her to look into the patients file or discuss past appointments or prescriptions. Took no time at all to counsel my mom on her failing vision…left discouraged. Likely won’t be back

Not good! I should have done my homework………..I agree with the comments about having no personality! As a new patient coming in, seemed uninterested in learning anything about me, never asked one question!To top it off, gave me wrong information about my coverage on glasses or contacts. I told them I did have coverage, they “didn’t have the time” to call my insurance company to find out that I was correct. I had to do the calling, then had to call them back………..then was able to get them ordered. It was very frustrating…………..therefore, I will not be returning to this office. I guess this is why she has a 2.3 rating!

Thorough exam - but she had no social skills to the point that I felt uncomfortable. No warmth or interest in patient's well-being whatsoever. Borderline rude. On the other hand , every single member of her staff was pleasant and professional.

Didn’t ask questions, didn’t talk, didn’t interact at all with me. Rude and unsocial. I’ve had better experience at the national chain stores.

Dr McAdams did a "comprehensive" eye exam. She explained all the details and was very courteous. Her staff was very good and there was no wait time. I would highly recommend her to anyone looking for very detailed eye exam. Earlier, I used to go to the retail stores like LensCrafters, Pearlvision etc. but I feel those exams are not as comprehensive as I have experienced here. Very satisfied.
