Jo Yoon, PA-C

I saw Dr Yoon for a knee injury and she told me, "We will not give you a MRI or surgery because you are too old". I have worked out for 40 years and am older but not your "Typical" older person. I am very active and I am capable of communication. She does NOT begin to understand how to handle a patient. I got a second appointment regarding my knee and Dr Buggs got a model of the knee out and explained my injury to me to my satisfaction. Dr Buggs was a good communicator. The truth is it had NOTHING to do with my age. Science has changed regarding how they deal with my type of injury. She could have done the same and I would not have had to waste my time and money getting a 2nd appointment.

Jo Ann Yoon is wonderful to see. She's attentive, she listens, she cares. The previous doctor that I was seeing in this practice left. I found Jo Ann and she's the only one I ever make an appointment with, even though she's a PA and not an MD. She's better than the doctor that I was seeing (that left). I highly recommend her for anything you might need.

I've find JoAnn to be compassionate, informed and extremely competent. However, the waiting area is shabby and feels a little dirty. The front office is rude and disinterested. I've made records requests, have had specialty doctors request records which never show up, and my mail order pharmacy can't get them to respond to prescription renewals. The patient portal is a joke. I'm in the process of finding a new primary care doctor because I cannot abide the office. I will miss JoAnn.
