Although aware of my diagnosis Dr May showed little to no interest in helping to relieve my symptoms or help me heal. It was always hard to get an appointment and then it was like starting over each time and she didn’t seem to remember or bother to look at my file even. I had to ask repeatedly for help with the same issues and my health only got worse under her care. She is not trauma informed or willing to become so. I’d always assumed that my GP was interested in improving my health but she was only interested in collecting her fee and acted as if my pain was imaginary. Offering no support at all. In fact she made me feel like I had to explain over and over the same problems and propose my own solutions. Received nothing but heart ache with her. I do not recommend her.

First, the doctor's office failed to inform me that their services weren't covered by my insurance even though they are listed as in-network. I was slapped with a $410 bill instead of my usual $35 co-pay for two visits. Thankfully, I cancelled the third appointment due to personal reasons or else I'd be looking at a $700 bill. It took the office months to inform me of my bill. This is why people go broke. The office should've done their due diligence before my first visit to ensure that my insurance would cover their services. What's more annoying and demeaning is, I had asked them repeatedly to make sure the visits were covered. Rather than take my request seriously and look into the matter, they downplayed my request, saying "Oh, you can wait. It'll be fine." Well, it's not fine. I'm looking at a huge bill that I just can't afford because of your blasé attitude. Future patient, please be aware of this so you don't end up going broke.
