Came in with clear strep throat symptoms incl. long history of having steps. Ms. Markowitz did NOT examine me but rather rushed me out of the office without medications to get covid test. I begged for antibiotics since I knew where I was heading without them. She refused to do anything until she had my covid test results. Covid test was NOT scheduled until 48 hours later. Test results (negative) came through 5 days later (found out through lab email to me). Office finally advised 2 weeks later & Joanne NEVER followed up! When I called the office the day after this disastrous visit & shared that my symptoms are a lot worse, that hospital didn't yet call to even schedule a covid test, and to please give me antibiotics. Ms. Markowitz said that if I feel worse to go to the ER. I DID have strep throat & BEGGED another doctor to give me antibiotics. I started taking them 48 hours later and that has made my recovery far longer. I did NOT have Covid. Horrible experience w/ Joanne Markowitz.

I went to Tohickon based on a recommendation of good friend. I had debilitating symptoms, did not have the energy to waste effort on a Dr. I could not trust so I followed the advice and got an appt. with a nurse prac. When you are sick, it takes much effort to drive almost an hour to seek help. I was willing to do that in hopes of an answer but got the worst medical appt. I've ever had. Joanne M. spent over half the appt. revisiting info I had already put into my New Patient booklet..including inoculations. I feel like I am dying so who cares when I got my last tetanus shot...really? She never even asked me why I was there, no questions about my symptoms which baffled me. So, after a waste of much time, I finally spoke up to describe my pain, and she said i must be anxious, depressed and prescribed Zoloft. When will the medical profession finally accept that there are REAL medical reasons for feeling lousy OTHER than depression. Needless to say, I am still sick and looking for yet
