Dr. John Bouma, DC

People had always told me chiropractors didn't provide any true medical assistance. After hurting my back & being in pain for a week and a 1/2, with no relief from pain meds, heating or icing. I just I decided to give it a try. Dr. Bouma, unfortunately didn't take my funky insurance, but it was only a $100 for an exam, x-rays and an adjustment. I figured it was worth it in the hopes of alleviating my pain. I was really nervous, but his staff and himself were all very friendly. He has a very calming demeanor. He took time to explain to me about my joints, vertebrates & xrays to explain what was causing the pain. After 1 treatment I felt 30% better! The pain meds & heating finally started to work! Left my 2nd appointment feeling very hopeful for continued healing. He believes I should only need one more adjustment and I should be good to go. I love that this doesn't seem to be something I have to continue doing for the rest of my life which is where a lot of people had forewarned me.
