Presents well but that is about it. Poor insight and inability to decipher and make recommendations based on the truth. Fabricates key details. Does not take children's insights and wishes into play. Discounts multiple unbiased third parties accounts. Expensive with over $34k charged. Stated initially report would be done in 6 months and agreed to take case, but took over 1.5 years which he then used against to keep status quo based on stability, but accounting for instability consistently caused by other parent. For home visit did not view house and speak with the kids. Superficial assessment bearing no key impact and expensive. Look elsewhere.

I am in agreement with all of the other 1 star reviews here. The man is dishonest, biased and doesn't care about the truth. He is sadly a prime example of the corrupt Family Court system where it is not about the best interest and welfare of the child but, more about getting as much money from the parents as he can. Has the title of Doctor but is not medically licensed. He's made diagnosis and recommendations to the court while not qualified to do so. Even admitting it during trial but, was allowed to continue to do so by a biased Judge.

John is a very fine clinician and the most polite and uniformly cheerful person that I know. He will care about you as an individual and validate your concerns while supplying you with the tips and tools you need to manage yourself and influence others in mutually positive ways.

Dr Orlando had a very balanced approach to our case with our child at the center of a high conflict divorce. We have used his services over many years to resolve co-parenting issues and he remains very calm, approachable, solution oriented and has best interest of the child in the center of it all. Thank you Dr Orlando.

As if broken family court system of CA needs anymore help to dismiss your parental rights and screw you over! That’s what this guy would do! He will charge you a pretty penny for a whole lot of nothing! He has deep pockets with attorneys and don’t be surprised if he pretends and then flip on you because the other side had a little more powerful attorney. Thanks for messing up my kids future! In couple of yrs she makes her own decision but know you didn’t consider her best interest!

All of the above reports are correct. San Jose Family court has a system that has been used for decades. It is for profits and has been perfected. Your best bet for survival, is to speak to your own family doctor. My ex husband had been accused of sexually molesting our daughter, by a third party. He now has temporary full custody of all our three children.

Can't get a job in practice so relies on family law attorneys for income and we all know they really want to end the conflict so they WONT get anymore $ from their client. John Orlando is their pawn, nothing more. He didn't care about my children at all in his assessments. Didn't write any of the important things to them that they had communicated to him would help them

Dr. Orlando does not thoroughly investigate for custody evaluations nor does he read important documents as they pertain to the child. He makes critical mistakes and oversights that have a negative impact on the kids he is supposed to help. If you are using him for a 730 evaluation, make sure he reads all the information presented and understands all the facts. Dr. Orlando created a sickening injustice for my daughter she will take a long time to recover.

If you are a responsible loving parent who has found yourself involved in family court, do to no fault of your own, you may have the courts order you to pay 10k for a report from a "730 expert". What these people do is take away your parental rights. Dr Orlando stated in our report that because shared custody would lead to power struggles one parent should have 100% custody. As a result I haven't seen my daughter in 3 years.
