Dr. John Shallcross, PSY.D

He was very hard to reach; his report arrived weeks later than promised. Worst of all, bizarrely, it seemed he was writing about someone other than our son. The report was worse than useless, as it formed a serious and damaging distraction during the course of our son's medical care. His report reported 'information' which was diametrically opposite the data which had been provided by multiple teachers, school counselor, and therapist. He had no explanation for the strange divergence of his report, which was worse than distracting. Very unprofessional; inexplicably confusing; worse than useless.

Dr. Shallcross did my son’s evaluation and the entire experience was amazing. He took the time to explain my son’s diagnoses, patiently answered all of our questions and provided resources for us to learn more about my son’s condition. He was so kind and patient with my son during the evaluation and we are so grateful for that.

I had an evaluation with him three weeks ago. He told me he will have the results and give them to me in two weeks. I have been unable to reach him. He will not respond to my emails, phone calls, or texts. I paid him with my credit card, so I will be reporting it.

Very unprofessional he promised me test results in two weeks, it's been month with nothing. I have put a complaint in with the sate and will be disputing Jos service with my insurance company.

Dr. Shallcross responded very quickly to my inquiry for an appointment. He was very easy to talk to and took his time explaining both his tests and the results. I was very pleased with my virtual visit/testing. I would not hesitate to recommend Dr. Shallcross.

Dr. Shallcross was very thorough, patient & caring regarding my son’s evaluation & diagnosis. He sent the evaluation reports to the requested doctors in a timely manner. My experience with Dr. Shallcross was very positive. I would definitely recommend Dr. Shallcross.

Dr.Shallcross was extremely help full to my daughter. He offered online testing during the Covid-19 which she desperately needed. He was so nice and sincere, willing to go that extra mile to get us the help she needed.

Let me start by saying, you should ignore any negative reviews that you see. I am certainly glad that I did. My experience with Dr. Shallcross was AWESOME! Booking an appointment was seamless, he was on time for the appointment (not all doctors are), he listened and not in a condescending way, and my report was prepared less than 10 days later and forwarded to both myself and any other physicians in need of it. Afterwards, he called to discuss at length the report to ensure that I understood it. Almost a month later, I contacted him via email to request that another report be completed and he responded in record time, then set up a Zoom meeting with me to ensure that he completed it accurately. Thanks Dr. Shallcross! I will definitely recommend others.

I contacted John Shallcross about testing for ADHD. He was very straightforward, easy to work with, and made accommodations for an online evaluation because of COVID-19. He reviewed my results with me and gave me advice without any biases. He was a pleasure to work with.

Great listner and caring psychologist. He takes on your problems or issues and makes a point to help you navigate through it. Awesome psychologist.

Dr. Shallcross is a very thorough, compassionate, and informative psychologist. I had a very good experience with him, and I very much appreciated the fact that he took the time to listen to my concerns, answer my questions completely and thoroughly (making sure there was nothing outstanding), and was extraordinarily accommodating at providing results to my other doctors in a very timely and professional manner. Our session was complete yet still relaxed. Overall a very good experience.

Dr. Shallcross was easy to reach, returned phone calls and emails quickly, and his scheduling was flexible with my availability, especially during this quarantine time for COVID-19. He made it so that he was available via telehealth app to conduct part of the testing on video conference so that I wouldn't have to wait. He called back with results for me within the week. I was happy with his services and would recommend him.

He doesn't follow up, you'll never get your testing results. Called him as a new patient and he followed up. Once I told him I saw him in April, and I'm still waiting on my testing results he promised in 2 weeks he hung up. Today in June 7th. He's completely incompetent.

Do not fool with him!!

BEWARE! I have been waiting weeks (a month and 2 weeks) for my results with no correspondence back. I will be filing a complaint with my insurance company and the state. Shame on you Dr. Shallcross for being so unreliable and clearly uncompassionate. Especially in your line of work.

Wow. Totally unprofessional from start to finish. Lost my daughter's tests and asked if I put someone else's name on them... then said he thought HE put someone else's name on them, before reassuring me that he had it all under control. I filed a complaint with the state.

If you are looking for a medical professional do not waste your time. Follow up was a major issue and compassion was not provided. I am happy to have stronger support system to assist me in my time of need and fell that the lack of care motivated me to implement self care.
