I didn't see John in the context of a counselling session. John asked if I'd like to hear his observation about a situation I was in, and I asked him to share. The insights he shared are still helping me in a variety of areas of life over a decade later! I noticed that John embodies the qualities needed to be a great counselor: he is respectful, honest, clear, down-to-earth, straight-forward, keenly aware, powerfully observant, empathic, humble, light-hearted, caring and kind.
