Caring and understanding
I worked with John for 4 years. During this time I had an open cps case and he really helped and supported me during the time I was getting sober. He helped me stay sober and deal with the constant stressors of an ongoing cps case. I just recently stopped seeing him after being involved in an accident that he wasn’t able to be non biased about. Although we parted not agreeing on things I do believe he is a wonderful counselor that really try’s to work with you and will support you in every way he possibly can. I am very sorry to loose him as a counselor but it’s time for us both to move on and for me to see someone more trauma based to deal with my ptsd and DV issues. I always felt I could be honest with John even when I couldn’t be honest with myself about things. I never felt judged by him honestly until the last session with him.
