Dr. Kaitlin Haws, DNP

Dr. Haws has an amazing beside manner. She listens, treats me with respect and dignity. She addresses my concerns and provides options. She is the best provider I have had!!!

She is one of the best health care providers I've ever had. She listens carefully, offers advice and shows actual concern for your condition. She approaches healthcare holistically and is willing to advocate for you if you want to try an alternative approach. She's smart, compassionate, and is all around just a stellar provider. I hate that you've left the VA, but I genuinely wish you the best of luck wherever you land. Your patients are lucky to have you.

I know Dr. Haws recently left the Portland VA but I will start off but saying when I read the letter saying she was leaving I cried! She had been my Primary Care Physician for 5 years and I always felt heard and seen at all of my appointments. She never made me feel like was crazy or did not know what I was talking about. If there was something she was not sure about she would look it up with me and we would discuss it. I was completely comfortable talking to here about ANY symptom that I may of been having, even if normally it could be awkward. She always told me I knew how my body was feeling and not her. She was there to help figure out what was going on and make me feel better. I wish her absolutely nothing but the best and wish all NP's, PA's and MDs practiced medicine and treated their patients with the same compassion, dignity and kindness she showed me and I know the rest of her patients.

As a patient of Kaitlin’s for over two years, I can say she’s been one of the most deeply thoughtful, thorough, and supportive primary care physicians I’ve ever worked with at a VA hospital. I’m grateful that she’s chosen to work with the women veteran population; all veterans deserve the level of care she and her team provide.
