Karen is without a doubt the best counselor I have ever worked with. She counseled me individually for years when I was having difficulties, and also several of my family members at various times. She has been kind, supportive, and helpful to us all. She was my safe place to go, and was always honest, compassionate, and professional. I honestly can’t understand some of the negative reviews I’ve seen here, because she has been wonderful for our family, along with a few friends/coworkers I have recommended her to. She became a very important and trusted person in my life during difficult times. I am grateful and blessed to have had her help and guidance.

Honestly, I still remember the cold, judgemental feedback I received after one of my counseling sessions with Mrs. Elliott several years ago. It really did leave me feeling alienated in my own life, as stated by another patient here. It actually made me stop counseling altogether for a while as a young adult, as I was afraid I would also be judged as harshly by the next counselor too.

Very rigid in her approach. I've never seen any therapist where it took 3 visits to complete the intake paperwork. She then decided she couldn't see me for a variety of reasons (she's retiring soon, didn't have time in her schedule to devote to me, it takes 8 years minimum to fix what I have, etc.). She made it very clear that there would be a "HARD LIMIT" on when she would stop seeing me while I tried to find another therapist. I do not recommend her.

Nothing but good things to say about her. It's been a few years since i've seen her but she helped me thru a lot. Wish I still lived in the area.

Only visited once, but I like her already, she gets me and listens when needed. Some people aren't ready for change, but if you are, I think the truth gets through.

Karen is extremely cold, judgemental and insincere. I left her office feeling more alienated than I already did in my everyday life. I have to surmise that she’s the antithesis of a helpful therapist. Her ‘therapy’ is detrimental to anyone who is at all emotionally fragile. I wouldn’t take anyone artistic, free-spirited or living any sort of alternative lifestyle to her. She will openly ridicule you for your choices. Not a safe place, not a kind woman. Not going back. Nobody needs that.
