Karen Wood, LMHC

I have known Karen for many years. She is kind, compassionate and understanding. Very attentive. A great listener. She has always been completely professional, but has not been afraid to be straightforward and direct, not always easy but it was what I needed. She has taught me a lot about patience and communication. I would recommend her to anyone who wants or needs help navigating life's constant changes.

My experience with Karen Wood has shown her to be rude, confrontational and unprofessional. She has yelled at me and my grandchildren, calling one of them names. She told us do not call or text her office, but spends hours on the phone with the opposing counsel. Be sure to check your invoices, you don’t want to be overcharged. She was a horrible reunification therapist dealing with my grandson. She did not address children issues. She brought the father in without warning or preparing the children. When children stated how they felt….”my dad has favorites “, she told them “we are not going to deal with that because he doesn’t”. During a session, my grandson asked, “can I ask you a question,” her response “No, I’m not talking to you since you won’t talk to me.” My grandson asked for a bathroom break, Ms Wood responded “No, and stand up because you would be the one to pee on my chair.” My grandson gets sick before and after every session with Karen. caution! STAY AWAY.

Karen is an excellent therapist. I have and will continue to recommend her services. She makes her clients feel at ease and is readily available.

Karen is very easy to speak with. She puts you at ease to openly discuss your reasons for being there. There are no feelings of being judged or that what you say is in any way wrong. It is a pleasant experience and one that has helped me tremendously.
