Disrespected patient's body and caused trauma
At my only visit with Dr. Bassale, and after we had decided on what the subject of the visit would be, she started asking me about pelvic exams, which is fine. However, instead of saying that it needs to be done and get on the schedule, Dr. Bassale said, 'we need to get up in there.' She said it twice. Her (regular) female nurse didn't even flinch. They both just sat there and stared at me, waiting for me to agree, normalizing this crude way of speaking to patients.I was so upset. I felt disgusted and traumatized, and never saw her again.And doctors wonder why patients don't go to get seen for things....
