Here is my grade for Carrie Ellis: F minus. Because she over-medicated me with Adderall medication for like 4 years even though I didn't really need it. And even my new doctor told me that my ADHD (Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder) probably could've been better managed all those years without the strong 50 mg dose of Adderall which I used to get. And there was a lot of bad side effects from this too: affected my appetite, my sleep, concentration, even physical stamina for doing sports and stuff. Honestly, I never liked going to sessions with this psychiatrist, they were always real short and all she would ever do is ask me how I was sleeping? But then when I told her about all the other side effects, she was just like "Oh don't worry, that's normal. Here's another prescription. Come see me in 3 months." This went on like I said, for like almost 4 years, and I didn't really feel like my medication management sessions were effective. This psychiatrist just likes to push pills.

It's a one star in my book when you over prescribe Ritalin to a 5 year old just to meet your insurance quotas! That's what happened to my child. So glad we were able to seek out someone a lot more qualified.

I don't feel like she really cares about patients as much as she does about her billable hours. To me it seems like she just views her patients as a source of mone but I don't honestly feel like she really cares about us.

It was not helpful for me. Lots of pill pushing but no therapy. The nurse does not seem very vested. Does not appear to genuinely care.

ineffective practitioner who isn't very sympathetic to patient concerns; lots of medications prescribed to me which I don't need - I suspect she is simply trying to maximize the amount of funds she receives from my insurance carrier: the more pointless medications I am prescribed, the higher her professional fees are; isn't a practitioner I want to refer to anybody because I don't feel her heart is really in this profession for the right reasons; sadly disappointed in all my unproductive visits

Worst psychiatrist ever! Rushed me through each session without ever listening or showing empathy. Each session lasted only a couple minutes maximum. Funny though, how she'd always bill my insurance for much longer than what she actually met with me for. Zero listening or empathetic abilities. Only cares about prescribing medications you won’t need and which have horrible side effects! Doesn’t care about her patients' best interests. Views you as nothing more than a means to over-bill insurance.
