Saw Kate in a crisis situation to get advice for son experiencing substance abuse. She was just okay in her suggestions; nothing earthshattering. She couldn't recommend a psychiatrist for my son which is a red flag and tells me she doesn't work holistically with a patient's care or have relationships in the industry. (What therapist doesn't have shrink recs?) Did not feel she was good enough to schedule follow up appt. Paid out of pocket and was a total hassle getting the superbill from her. In the end, she would not provide the correct code so I wasn't able to get reimbursed for visit. Such a bummer there are so many subpar therapists out there when you really need a good one.
