Dr. Kate Vaillancourt, BA

I've been in psychotherapy off and on for over 18-years now. In that time, I've seen three psychologists, Dr. Vaillancourt being the third. I cannot say enough good things about Dr. Vaillancourt's demeanor, mental health knowledge and patient skills. Although my two previous psychologists were good, the one problem I always seemed to encounter was that they both seemingly transitioned from being my psychologist, to being my friend. For whatever reason, my personality is such that most people I meet tend to feel comfortable opening up and sharing things with me, as if we've know each other for years, even when meeting for the first time. I mention this because at some point, with my previous two psychologists, they too started sharing things with me to the point where I started to feel that our patient-doctor roles were reversed at times. That has never been the case with Doctor Vaillancourt. Depression, PTSD and anxiety are what I've been seeing her for, and she's been fantastic.
