I would not recommend going to FNP Coate. I originally went to her to get some health paperwork filled out for a job. However FNP Coate only filled out half the paperwork. When I left her office a voicemail notifying her that she had only completed half of the document, she left me an extremely rude return voicemail about how I was taking up too much of her time. So I scheduled another in-person appointment with her to get the rest of the paperwork filled out, and she was rude and condescending to me the entire time. A few months later, when I was in need of a doctor, I was so afraid of going back to her because of how she treated me. That’s when I realized that I needed to switch doctors, because you should never be afraid to go into your doctor or to reach out to them with questions.

Horrible experience twice now with this doctor. I do not trust her with my health. I had some serious anxiety throughout the appointment and after with follow up caused by her approach and bedside manner. She also told me I was "taking up too much of her and her staff's time" when I waited all day from 9 am to 4 pm for a call back on a diagnostic code I needed before I was okay with getting a lab done. All I needed was the diagnostic code....I was the one calling on it. Very unfair and very rude. Her Nurse Sarah was the only kind and caring individual I met at this office.

Terrible. Didn't listen to me, didn't bother reading my chart to see about my history, just lectured me about my prescriptions and birth control choice as if I were some deadbeat drug addict off the street teying to get a fix. I'm a middle age married woman who's been on the same prescription for 15 years, lol! She acted like I didn't know anything about my meds or how sex works. If you enjoy lectures about sex ed and addiction from condescending people with no personality, this woman is for you.

I love this NP. She is the most thorough provider I have had and appreciate her direct approach to resolving health issues. I need it. She wastes no time in getting to the bottom of things and she also really cares. If you need someone to hold your hand and treat you like a child she may not be for you but if you need High quality Care with results and honesty then I highly recommend her.

absolutely horrible!!!! Same thing as others have experienced, she started raving at me for not following various instructions, referrals, etc. And when I told her she didn't give me any of those......she looked and saw she was reading someone else's chart. Then she accused me of being a liar regarding a referral, basically comes across as a complete crazy person. I tell everyone I know to not go to this woman. Someone needs to look into her medical practice and poor decisions she makes towards her patients. I had PTSD after that experience. She never did help my condition, and in fact made it worse. If I could give a negative 10 on the star chart I would.

I would like to start by saying the Neighborhood Clinic was very accommodating and friendly. There are many clinics to choose from in the Valley! Shame. I took my mother to see Katherine Coate one time this past spring at the Neighborhood Clinic (where she had just started working). Katherine was very unprofessional and I might add a bit strange...prying into my moms personal business. She just found out that my mom changed doctors (last summer and for obvious reasons) and called my 85 year old mother and was threatening and extremely rude to her saying that she was going to "bill her"for something. Who knows what that is all about? Crazy! I am calling this in to the Idaho Board of Medicine.

This woman had never met me before and spent the time chewing me out about my weight, how I eat, what I do and don't do. I was told I was too young to have what I have going on and she acted like she didn't even believe me. The wait times at this clinic are horrible and the receptionist is cold as well. As a whole it felt like everyone there except their sweet nurses were indifferent to my situation. Claims she loves a challenge and then doesn't care about your life situation that has brought you to where you are. As far as she is concerned I'm doing nothing right in my life.

This was the first doctor I saw when I moved to Boise from out of state I was with Kaiser for a long time so it was a new experience to have to go to several different doctors etc. Out of all the doctors I’ve seen i have to come back to review her since I have found healthgrade to let people know how awful she was. At first she was nice and accommodating but when there was a question about a referral she literally screamed at me on the phone, cursed at me for no reason and hung up. Swear!!!!

Dr Kathe Coate is wonderful, warm, caring and has a much appreciated no non-sense approach to health care. She is awesome and she cares for her patients. I drive from MCCALL just to see her.

Our family has been very happy with Kathe. We feel Kathe takes the time to fully understand and explain our concerns. She is very proactive with her patients. We really like her as our Practitioner.

My entire family has been going to Kathie for several years. We all love the fact that she takes her time with every patient to make sure they are well taken care of. She is genuine and kind.

Really unprofessional office. Saint Alphonsus is great but this office was not. 45 minutes for a flu shot with a appointment and onl y one lab visit in front of me?! How long would it have been if it was busy?! I could hear her chatting to the MA! The girl at the front desk didn't even offer a "sorry for the wait". She was really rude and indifferent. This office is really letting down Saint Alphonsus' reputation for quality customer service. Don't judge Al's on this office, staff, & provider!

She sticks her nose into your personal life. Why I'm not going to school shouldn't concern my health and why I'm not feeling good. She gave me a wrong diagnosis on a disease and gave me a prescription that made me lose weight and throw up for weeks, I wasn't even physically tested. She told me she was 99% sure that's what it was, when no, it sure wasn't! Very rude when speaking, never makes time for urgent appointments. Would NOT recommend. Would be a better office without her. Will not return.

I am so happy to have Kathe Coate as my primary care provider. She is very conscience and always happy to help in any way she can. She explains all options of care. - Judy Jordan
