Katie Decent, LMT

I went to Katie because of residual pain after lumbar surgery. While I was scared of feeling any additional pain from being touched in the area I had surgery on, I found that she had relaxed my muscles to the point that I felt more limber when I left than when I had arrived. She adapted her pressure to what I was able to tolerate, while releasing identified trigger points. She was friendly, accomodating, and explained everything she was doing and what she was feeling. I went to her as an alternative to going on pain medication again, to use in conjunction with physical therapy, and while I was the expected sore the rest of the day, my muscles were no longer tense, I was able to stand longer, and walk with significantly less pain. I got the best night's sleep afterwards than I had for a few weeks, and I'm going to continue using Katie as part of my recovery.
