Katie Norris and I clicked within my first couple of visits and believe me that's a huge deal in my book. I've been receiving care from different psychiatrists in Louisville for a long time now, and when it came time for me to change this past time, I was dreading it. I think the worst part of my depression and anxiety lies in getting the right person to help me because so many just treat people like objects instead of who they are. I would have doctor's that literally told me to force a smile on my face and get out in the sunlight and that would surely make my depression better.. Or I'd drive all the way to the other side of town go in to the waiting room for up to an hour, then be called "in office" just long enough for them to hand me my paper prescriptions and walk back out.. I could go on and on but my point is Katie has always taken time with me, she's talked to me about things outside of my illness and always has my back when I need her. I'm so thankful to have found her!!! ??

The last time I talked to Katie they were sending me to the emergency room and when she called as I waited for transportation she wasn’t concerned for my health but how she was going to get paid. I had always listened to her troubles and health concerns about herself and I was the patient!! But when I needed the same it wasn’t there!! She still charged my husband’s credit card for $100 but didn’t refill any scripts or anything like she was mad!! I have never been so disappointed in someone that I needed and she knew that!! Who does that when someone is already struggling?!? She asked me awhile back to give her a good review and now I see why!! She should not be practicing whatsoever!! And no one should trust her with discretion!! She put a patient in a horrible position which should never happen!! Ever!! And to charge them when they are in the ER, pitiful!!!

Katie’s care has changed my life. I spent three dark years in a state of depression that led to me making all the necessary arrangements and I purchased the means to end my life. The medication she recommended not only lifted the darkness I lived with it has restored the balance in my mental health. I feel all things again. Not just grief and despair, but joy and hope. I did not believe it was possible, but it was and is. Don’t believe these negative posts. They’re probably pill shoppers and Katie can see through the nonsense. She’s a caring professional with a desire to heal.

Katie takes the time to listen. It isn't easy to share the emotional and mental health challenges that I am currently experiencing. I feel no shame or embarrassment with anything that I discuss with her. Katie takes the stigma out of mental health care.

Not good

I have been seeing Katie for over a year now. I just read some of the bad reviews and it literally made me sick!! She is and has always been professional and the most kind hearted person that I have had in the medical field!! She actually listens and communicates with me!! She’s open and understanding!! She has helped me through some tough times and I am so grateful and thankful that she came into my life when she did!! I feel very lucky!!

Katie has been my preceptor for the last several months. The experience and the knowledge that she has provided to me is invaluable. She truly cares about her patients and that shows in the trust that they have in her. I have definitely gained a lifelong mentor!

I am writing this anonymously on behalf of my husband. First off, we were apprehensive to go to a nurse practitioner vs. a doctor, especially one that appeared young in age. We went to the appointment anyway. She was down to earth, knowledgeable, and listened to what he said. At his 2nd appointment, his depression was bad, hallucinating more, falling down and more confused. She didn't change medications and she urged us to go to the ER. We are glad we trusted her judgment. I am extremely grateful for her expertise and her ability to connect and listen. Turned out he had a massive brain tumor that had been growing slowly over several years. He had a risky brain surgery and is doing well now. He has now regained strength and has verbalized the what if's. Dr Katie Norris, that we did not want to go to, is who saved my husbands life. That 15 min session made a difference. She is awesome and meant to do the job she chose. She allowed me many more years with my husband!

I have been a patient of Katie Norris for over a year. She is amazing. She is intuitive and always willing to help. She really cares about her patients and it shows in her work. I have tried since a teenager to find the correct medications for me and she was the first one to gain my trust and help me. Trust is a big factor in mental health and on the first visit it is apparent that she is in this business to help me. I highly recommend her to anyone.

She is amazing at her job. She listens, considers the whole person not just the symptoms. She takes time and is willing to meet more regularly when things are rocky and I've needed more support

Katie has been amazing in helping me face my ptsd and panic disorder! I have seen a few psychiatrists and I definetely struck gold when I met Katie. She is understanding, listens to all my concerns and gives me resources and advice to become a better person. If you are looking for a psychiatrist Katie Norris is the only one I would ever recommend!

I adore Katie. She is compassionate and doesn't just a checklist and write you a prescription. She Listens. She Cares. She is Awesome!

Katie has been a huge help to my daughter. After several months with a couple of other providers she was the first one to help us get clear with the diagnosis and treatment options. She spoke in a very straightforward manner which I appreciated. She laid out her recommendation but was not pushy. When my daughter was in acute crisis she called me back quickly a came up with a good treatment plan.

She is empathetic, intelligent, and treats you with kindness and understanding. She has given me the tools that have resulted in immense positive change in my life.

Extremely professional, but super fun and trustworthy at the same time. She takes the time to identify your correct diagnosis in order to formulate a unique and understanding plan, just for you.

Please, please go see Katie if you need a good psych nurse! She is the only person I have ever sought psychiatric help from that has always treated me like a human being. She doesn't talk to you like you're crazy or stupid, and she actually listens! She is wonderful!

Katie has literally been a life changer. She has helped me when no other doctor could. I went years trying to find medicine that worked for me and she did it right away. It took a little trial and error but she knew my condition and helped me like no one has before. I have also had a traumatic loss less than a month ago and she has went above and beyond to help me. I’d never go to another doctor again!

I sm Very disgusted I even wasted my time here. Unprofessional, argumentative and inappropriate. Dont try this place for mental health concern. Shes all about money and anger
