Kellye Ledbetter, LCSW

I have been seeing Kellye for roughly two years. I've recommended her to several friends and I am very thankful I found her. She's a very comforting presence, and I've always felt very affirmed by her--not in a way that's unjustified, but in a healthy, validated sense. I really appreciate her advice and perspective, and I've never felt she was pushing me toward anything I wasn't ready to tackle. As someone navigating a couple mental health diagnoses as an adult and working through that weird transition of the changing roles of adult parents and adult kids, I have been so thankful for her help and understanding. Also, it's really nice to be able to do therapy through telehealth, and I've felt it's easier to be open about the things that are bothering me when I can sit at my desk at home and not have anyone listening, or not have to take the time to drive anywhere and worry about pulling myself together if I cry during a session. I've loved working with her & plan to continue to.

Saw her for quite a few months. It is shocking she has 20 years of experience, it does not show. She is good at invalidating patients and making them feel worse, and expects you to constantly keep reminding her what you need and want out of it because she does not listen and take into consideration past conversations and appointments. It seems like she means well, but does not understand her limitations. If you want anything other than talk therapy, please go elsewhere. Also had the most bizarre payment system that I have experienced with a mental health practitioner. I would not recommend seeing this therapist. She was elusive and unclear about payments and what was owed, even incorrectly reporting session types and times without explaining the changes, even when asked. Was dismissive about it.
