Dr. Kenny Chen, OD

I appreciate Dr. Chen's directness and his sense of humor. He gives a thorough eye exam and is great at explaining issues with aging eyes. His office staff is friendly and efficient.

I saw Dr. Chen for the first yesterday. I immediately felt comfortable with him. He's very knowledgeable and he made sure I understood everything and had a clear plan for going forward with my eye condition.

Took the time to discuss my lifestyle and insured that my vision allowed me to maintain that lifestyle.

I've seen a number of eye doctors at CMEA and had a good experience with most of them but not Dr. Chen. I came to him for a regular appointment with concerns about a vision problem I was having. He audibly scoffed at me, said it was dry eye and said to come back in 6 months. When I came back the second time and the problem had gotten worse he examined me and came up with an explanation that only kind of made sense. After 3 more months of the problem worsening I visited a specialist and found out that my lens was almost completely detached, and the repair would require surgery. I'm no professional but it felt like something he should have been able to see, and even if he couldn't, his scoffing at my problem is inexcusable.

Dr. Chen is very professional, very knowledgeable and very informative.. He is easy to talk to and listens to your every word . I highly recommend him.

My wife was the patient. She always finds a way to rile up the people around her. Starved for human contact. I'm with her most of the time, so when she gets out in public, she feels this intense need to bond with the people she meets, especially those who are responsible for her medical care. Dr. Chen kept his cool in spite of her irate outbursts and wrote up her new eyeglasses prescription.Thank you for your understanding and kindness. One thing I did note. The new eyeglasses prescription was identical to her previous one. I have been giving my wife Tumeric, an anti inflammatory. I believe that's why her prescription didn't change.

My experience was very positive. Dr. Chen is pleasant and professional. I never felt rushed. He spent time listening to my questions and providing answers.

He listens, I could ask anything, he was personable, I felt at ease, he made me laugh. On top of that, I found he very knowledgeable and he went over all of my issues throughly. A PERFECT DOCTOR. I wish I could duplicate him into other medical fields. Worth booking an appointment with him. I booked for next year’s checkup. Note: I don’t do these types of reviews, but was compelled to do it. He was good.

very good exam, very thorough, all my questions answered- BUT a $75 extra fee tacked on since needed contact lens rx adjusted- on top of my co pay- and they no longer credit this toward a contact lens purchase. not like I really have a choice, need rx adjusted so had to pay the extra fee.

I felt very comfortable with Dr. Chen and his recommendations.

Dr. Chen and his amazing team were so helpful to my daughter who was fitted for her first pair of contacts. Everyone in the office was extremely supportive and knowledgeable. They never rushed us and spent so much time making sure my daughter (and I) were comfortable. Thank you all!
