Dr. Kent McQuain, OD

I've been seeing (haha!) Dr. McQuain for years and he and his staff are excellent and really show care. My glasses always come out perfect. He has a good attitude and really listens to any concerns I have.

This is my 2nd experience with this office. I'd already decided on glasses elsewhere, but found several cute styles here that made me change my mind. All of the staff is very helpful and friendly. I decided to see Dr. McQuain for an exam. I wear progressives and have become so used to having to take off my glasses to read, that it feels good to let my glasses do the work. I've found that very few doctors get my reading prescription right. Satisfied customer again.

Office staff is very helpful and friendly, Dr. McQuain is excellent. He takes time with you and explains everything to you in lay-mans terms.

We changed drs b/c had trouble with every new pair of glasses. Dr McQuain's checked glasses & said script 1 level stronger than needed. Have seen him over 3 yrs. and never had prob with our glasses. Exams thorough; equipment current; cost reasonable. Staff is incredible. Always greet as enter and altho we may have to wait, never seen unjustifiable reason (with a patient, on phone, etc). Very personable (call us by name). Don't know why reviewer had a problem but we've never seen that attitude.

I went to him because I have a female optician and I'm not comfortable with female doctors. (Personal reasons) but I felt like he rushed in and out of the appointment and was impersonal. I could've dealt with that for the once-a-year eye exam but his staff is terrible. Unfriendly, impatient and mostly unhelpful. I was having a hard time with his staff, he made no effort to intervene and his staff made it clear he was "too busy" to help. Office is very sterile, crowded and unwelcoming. Sorry.
