Unprofessional, rude and at times needlessly cruel. When I was sharing or reliving trauma or bad situations, he would make nasty comments that added to my stress and set off triggers. When I described abusers, he would take the side of abusers and insult me. When describing times I avoided physical confrontation, he would mock me for not physically fighting, etc. When I confronted him about this, he would try to "apologize" by saying that what I said (describing my personal trauma) felt like a personal attack on him. Overall a confusing, bizarre, disorienting, stressful and emotionally painful experience. While I tried to make an effort to make things work, I ultimately had to walk away to preserve my mental and emotional health. I have thankfully found a better therapist since.

Terrible Counselor, Counselors need to be able to connect with their patients; unfortunately, this one seems to lack the required skills to connect with people. I went in for couples therapy with my girlfriend on March 8th. We were both expecting to find a warm, engaging, and caring counselor. Instead, we found a very cold, emotionless, and monotone person. He wasted a good 35 minutes having me and my girlfriend fill out a questionary that we could have filled out before the meeting. He spoke in a very boring monotone and had an emotionless face throughout the entire session, almost like he did not care at all. With my girlfriend, we agreed that he was not a good fit to help us (or anyone) so we will seek for help elsewhere.
