Added to doctors referral
We were treated like trash because we would not agree at additional meetings and testing. Mr. Groom added to the referral with a another type of test. We checked with my doctor who referred him, and he was only supposed to do memory testing. Mr. Groom added a psychological test. He was only supposed to talk to me, unless I wanted someone in the room; which he denied. Mr. Groom demanded he talk to my mother instead. We received a bill for the additional testing which was unauthorized. They also didn't send me a note about the copays until they were paid by my insurance.

Tests performed were very thorough. Total time for all tests were 4 hours. In the follow-up of a week later ( that lasted an hour), Dr. Grooms was very thorough in his explanations of these tests and provided feedback to all our questions

I was a patient for almost three years. Month after month they kept calling my script I to the wrong pharmacy. Then they got mad at me for calling to have it corrected. Worst patient care ever. He actually lied to me.

Does not really listen to patients concerns. Non-responsive in writing up evaluations. Did not review file before appointment thus wasting time of patient. Seeming too busy to care. Do NOT go to this man!!!

Dr Groom tested & consulted twice with my mother, and tested me, in his branch office in Destin. Getting an appt or talking to a live person takes days and is frustrating...but Dr Groom is excellent! He is intelligent, insightful, supportive, and compassionate. My mother has dementia and is determined to live as fully & independently as possible; he has helped her in significant ways. He is honest & straightforward while being understanding and encouraging with both the patient and the caregiver
