Kiely didn't request medical records from other providers, didn't tell me when she added a new diagnosis to my chart and lacked the ability or patience to explain a diagnosis. It turns out she misdiagnosed me and over-medicated me. She lacked compassion. She was my first experience with a psychiatric specialist. I've seen 2 other specialists (psychiatrists this time) since and have had much more professional experiences. I've now, been properly diagnosed (through objective and subjective measures) and am finally getting the proper treatments. I highly recommend holding her accountable for reviewing your full medical history before you allow her to diagnose you or just find somebody better. I know it's hard to tell, but if they aren't requesting you sign off on getting your records then they aren't really working hard enough to find the true root of the problem you came to them for help for.
