I've seen Kim for awhile now and really like her. She's thoughtful and thorough about meds management. She has taken the time to get to know me and remembers details. I think she's really realistic, and she holds me accountable (in an empathetic way).

Completely inappropriate billing practices. If you go for medication management she will decide to double bill you for psychotherapy and med management when you didn't ask for therapy. My daughter already has a therapist. She refused to change the bill since there was "therapeutic conversation". Right. Me present during a med management visit with my 16 year old daughter is likely not going to be therapeutic, and it wasn't a back and forth conversation. Avoid this PMHNP and go for an MD. I have never had a psychiatrist do this. She needs to learn her boundaries.

Waited 2+ months for an appointment and when I arrived 30 minutes after my appointment was supposed to start Ms. Koontz came out to the lobby to let me know she actually couldn’t take me on as a patient due to a “conflict of interest”. She said I’d have to reschedule with someone else which would be another 2+ month wait. This all resulted from not reviewing my paperwork until the 30 minutes after my appointment start time. So unprofessional and unprepared. Completely rude to speak to me the way she did in front of other patients in the lobby. Glad I avoided seeing her if this is the way she treats her patients.
