Dr. Kimberly Habel, PSY.D

Kim saved my life. I began seeing her at 14, and it was so validating to be heard, and feel like she was on my side. We had family sessions in which she both respected my privacy, and helped communicate my emotions and needs to my family ( which a lot of time upset or angered them ) but she was spot on every single time, and they needed to hear it. After a bit they came around. Even as an adult, my parents urge me to see her and offer to pay!!! I don’t think I would have made it through my teens if it wasn’t for my weekly visits (or more) with her. I have seen many other therapists in the past several years, and none of them even hold a candle to Kim. She has my deepest gratitude and respect.

After more than 6 visits with our teen, no progress or improvement was made. In fact, our teenager became more angry and stressed. Kim was harsh and cold with us as parents and left us feeling worse and more helpless after each visit. ( if she interacted with us at all. ) She is extremely focused on getting paid immediately - this seems to be her priority. Would not recommend.

Kim is like a good friend. She creates an atmosphere of empathy and is very human. There is an openness and honesty that she offers that makes a very comfortable environment. I looked forward to seeing Kim and getting her input on my life events and my emotions. She gave great guidance and advice and made me think outside of the “box” as I struggled with my issues. Talking with Kim is like chatting with a friend.
