Dr. Kimberly Tham, OD

Do NOT go here. I scheduled an appointment online the night before at the Grand Parkway location. Upon arriving 8 minutes before my appointment , I was ignored which was weird because I could see Dr. Tham watching me from the side door 3 feet away. I decided to grab a clipboard and fill out my information to be seen. Dr. Tham proceeds to tell me I am “cancelled” because I did not confirm the appointment. Keep in mind, I scheduled this appointment at night and confirmed via text the next day hours before I got there. Dr. Tham then tells me she gave a woman that walked into the store my slot EVEN though I confirmed and scheduled the appointment and arrived 8 minutes early. I can see if I was late or if I missed her call to cancel me or something but there was none of that. Dr. Tham then told me she “might “ be able to squeeze me in but I would have to go AFTER a woman she allowed to walk in and get my slot. How is that fair???? Dr. Tham is unfair and rude for no reason.

Be careful. Visit was rushed because the Dr. schedules patients back to back, seeing multiple patients at the same time. I appreciated that she was knowledgeable and thorough in addressing eye concerns and issues but she speed talked through the eye exam and dismissed questions then rushed us out the door, there was no receptionist so the Dr. had to check us out, charged us a fee of $100 (we were only supposed to be charged co-pay of $10) gave no explanation except saying that “our insurance only partially covers charges” handed me glasses prescription and no receipt. I called my insurance company and they stated our visit was fully covered with the exception of a $10 co-pay. I was told I would be emailed a receipt with contact prescription and still have not received it. when I called the number given its a full voicemail so there is no way to contact. Unfortunately, I would not recommend going to this Dr.. There are better Optometrists out there.

She went too fast talked at you not with you more interested in selling her supplements did not ask me if my test was clear meaning not blurry tried to tell her she pushed me out the door

Doctor Tham was friendly and welcoming. Also described in detail the exam as she was performing it. Took time to listen and explain my questions and concerns. I had a very thorough exam under her care and trust her recommendations for my eyes.

Terrible!
