Wonderful Mental Health Provider
Telehealth
Kristy Smith has provided the kind of holistic approach which is rare in psychiatry. She listened to my concerns and my frustration with side effects of previous medications. She supported my goal to use a more naturopathic approach. For example, under her supervision, I am taking one low dose medication, and use an organic full spectrum CBD Oil at night instead of sleep medication. If I am lucky, she will be my doc for the rest of my life. I am so grateful to her for such skilled, patient, effective care.

Highly recommend
This provider listened to me and really cared about my mental health. She chose a medication regimen that will treat my anxiety without leaving me addicted which seems to be the issue with some of the reviews I see for her on here. Her prescribing is conservative and for that I am grateful. She encouraged me to implement healthy lifestyle changes and not to just rely on medication and to solve my ailments. More providers should practice like Kristy does.

I think Kristy Muir is amazing. She has helped me out on multiple occasions. To me the trick is to have a completely open and honest conversation with her and listen to what she has to say. I see negative comments about her and it makes me laugh. I challenge anyone to sit in her office all day, for years and not be able to read anyone who walks in. In my case she has given me much sage advise that I am grateful for. Unfortunately she can't fix stupid. Personally I consider her a friend, a confidante and an asset.

If looking to wait 2+ hours to be seen by a nurse practitioner and be treated based off her 5 minute assumptive diagnosis then you’ve found the place.

This NP doesn't understand how any medications work. She just hears something and believes it as fact. She doesn't take the time to find out about medications, which hurts her patients. Muir will also say one thing during a visit, then turn around and tell you something entirely different during the next visit. She also maintains that she has never heard of the zaps. Wow.

Kristy Muir attended to my needs and was incredible helpful, passionate, and really cared about getting to the root of my problems. She tried different meds out with me until we found what worked for me. She has always been available, caring, and the best NP I've ever had!

This was a dirty office with a hectic staff who rushes people in & out as fast as possible. My appointment which should have lasted at least 30-40 minutes was over in 10-15. I found Kristy to be rude; condescending & lacking basic knowledge. Not a good experience & a waste of time and money. Back to square one I go with a new person who I hope is much more caring and professional.

I am glad I waited to leave a review until being a patient of Dr. Muir for a while. At first, I thought she was simply there to continue my medication management started by my previous psychiatrist, but after several appointments I see that she is quite receptive to my issues and can pick up on things which I have difficulty initiating She is pleasant to visit. I have a few other Medical conditions which I have considered changing my doctors, but not Dr. Muir.

Worst NP ever! Very rude and has a big attitude. Not helpful and not educated. She is the worst person I've ever encountered in the medical field. Do not waste your time.

At first I thought that Kristy like most doctors today it seems, have so many patients, they have no special attention to anyone patient. We are all but a bunch of cattle shuffled in and out with your meds. My first few visits made me feel Kristy might be different, that is until I reached rock bottom, and needed some advice as to other then med dosages. Her advice was to sell my car, and wanted me to go straight into a psychiatric hospital. Well go luck to you if your a patient or considering.

I had long since been diagnosed and medicated when I got sent to Kristy. What was refreshing about her, from my view of having bounced around doctors for 12 years, was that she actually listened to me- concerns, past med history, opinions on meds, strategy for future. Wasn't dismissive when I asked to tweak meds- actually discussed options to make a mutual decision and was very supportive. The only time she took me super late it turned out she had been with a patient in crisis so I didn't mind.

Absolutely, the worst. Shuffle you in and give you scripts. My wife has been out of meds for 2 weeks. She has been seeing her for 7 years. Cannot get an appointment or a return phone call. Horrible care. Would strongly suggest another provider for care because her and her office staff does not know what it means. You would think after 7 years, they would make some effort. Wrong
