Felt dismissed in every step of the way
I felt judged, dismissed, I couldn't even get everything out, she said she'd only discuss what the referral said which wasn't even my concern. She was very short with me, I've been dealing with these issues for 5 years & she acted like I was making up my last test results which I brought through patient portal. I felt as though she came up with a bucket diagnosis before even doing any tests, I need someone who is going to actually try and investigate why a 33 yr old woman, is having all these issues. I need someone that'll treat me like a human being- not just another number.

PA Nofal and my Parkinsons Disease
PA Nofal, Dr Barrios' Assistant, seems to be more knowledgeable than my former Movement Disorder Neurologist that I saw in Pensacola Fl. She listens to me as a patient and did not push unnecessary medications on me. We were actually able to eliminate three different medications', that were prescribed to me by my former movement disorder Neurologist, that gave me side effects that made me feel like a zombie. I actually feel much more human again. I really believe that a great bedside manner is important, and she has that wired too. Except for my freezing of gait issue I feel much better now. Thanks PA Nofal.

Laura Nofal PA, @Sacred Heart
Overall very good. I think she'll take care of my issues. Initially the nurse said they would only discuss the specific issues in the referral. (Without considering other factors) Once I spoke with PA Nofal, she took everything in and came up with a plan. We'll see how it goes.
