Laurel Moody, NP

One of the rudest people I have come across in any setting. Not sure why she is in the business of helping people because that does not seem to be her priority. I was referred to her when I couldn’t get into my primary Dr when she worked at an office in Salinas, CA. I could not get a sitter so I had to bring my two small children. She was having none of that and would not see me. At the time I was having asthma problems and a hard time breathing so she turned away a patient who could have potentially stopped breathing. Another time she was my only option for an appointment and made rude comments about my breath. At that appt a new NP was in with her and looked at her dumbfounded. I think she was shocked by how rude she was. Avoid at all costs.

I have visited this provider several times. I did not feel confidence in her diagnosis and returned to care by physicians which I did trust.

Rude and condescending. I was due for a physical, new blood work and had some health concerns. They advised I see her. She refused to write up blood work for the lab, because she said my primary care would need to authorize it and do follow up. She gave me lots of print outs, as if I do not do my own research and have not been seen by specialists for over twenty years. A few things I asked her about, she said she had no idea. I asked if she knew what type of specialist would know and if she could write me a referral and she said no. I left there wondering why I even came in, wasted my time and money. She assumed my medical knowledge is minimal and I could tell she formed her own opinions of my health issues very quickly. Needs to listen more, judge less. I thanked her for the stupid print outs and left. Will never go back to her. I have been to some of the best from Europe, DC to Denver and this was pitiful. I am just glad I did not try to see her for something serious.
