She was very nice and made sure all my questions were answered.

What stands out is the way my doctor treats me like I am a partner in my care like we are part of a team. She always takes all the time we need. I never feel rushed. She is the best doctor I've ever had.

Kate spent time reviewing all my test results. She listened to all my symptoms, examined me and made recommendations as to what testing should be done. I never felt rushed and she gave me her full attention. I never felt dismissed and appreciated her concern. I am so happy to have her as my PCP.

Kate Ballou is a fantastic nurse practitioner! I find her more knowledgeable than many of the primary care physicians I've had over the years. I can't recommend her enough.

Fast and efficient

Dr Kate as my husband refers to her..is always friendly..she takes her time to really listen and goes over all concerns. Have nothing but the best to say about any visits with her.

I have seen Kate a couple times recently for two different issues. She is personable, kind and smart! She 'fixed' both problems quickly. The second issue was a life threatening one that I had been dealing with for a couple months and it was getting worse. Her simple solution (changing medications) took care of the issue almost immediately. I trust her completely.

She read all my chart notes before I even came into the visit so she knew everything that was going on before I even showed up. She order everything that needed to be done and took good care of me. She listened to all I had to say. I am glad I went to see her and will definitely go back to her for any future needs I may have.

Kate takes her time to listen to all my complaints and suggest different avenues to help. She in courages me for my diabetes. When I am doing well.

She lacked familiarity in speaking with patient having hearing loss. She was given a written complaint RE: lack of ALD/“effective communicative access”. I told her to give the complaint to someone who could contact me. I went in strictly to get a referral - and she failed to document what I told her. BUT am guessing she inferred that writing a complaint re: disability access inferred I was ‘depressed’, per patient record. Listening to a patient didn’t matter, while getting in a ‘dig’ (the diagnosis of ‘depression’, per MyChart) did matter. Actually this is scary… that a provider has the power to decide what is recorded/ignored in a patient chart, and even cite her own ‘diagnosis’ while failing to cite either patient-shared or clinically relevant “symptoms”. This is sloppy healthcare.
